There is no element with a symbol of A. This question cannot be answered as written, except to say that if "a" is a metal, the compound will probably be ionic, and if "a" is a nonmetal, it will probably be molecular.
I think it is a mixture, not a compound, though it probably contains compoundsair is a mixture of nitrogen (78%), Oxygen (21%), and the remaining 1% is made of CO2, CO, H2O, and a lot of pollutants and other compounds.
The concept of compound is probably as old as the concept of "element". Robert Boyle, the key figure in the transition from alchemy to chemistry, was one was one of the first to try to distinguish "compounds" from other types of matter.
Decomposition reactions involve a compound breaking down into two or more smaller compounds. This is usually caused by the introduction of some form of energy such as light which breaks bonds between atoms. However, combustion reactions can also involve compounds splitting into simpler ones. A combustion reaction involves a compound made up of carbon, hydrogen, and occasionally oxygen atoms reacting with oxygen gas, O2, to form water and carbon dioxide. However, the answer to your question is probably decomposition reactions.
In short - No the jar does not contain a compound. it contains 2 elements. Oxygen, and Carbon.ExplanationIf you heated the jar the carbon would start to burn (probably quite violantly in pure oxygen) which is a chemical reaction and if you got the quantities just right then you would end up with a jar of carbon dioxide which would be a compound but unless you do this you just have 2 elements in the jar.In chemistry there are 3 basic catagories:1/ Element - A pure substance which contains only one type of atom.2/ Compound - 2 or more elements that have had a chemical reaction and joined together to form molecules. Molecules are groups of atoms that are joined together by chemical bonds.3/ Mixture - 2 or more different elements (or compounds) which are mixed together but have not had a chemical reaction and are not joined by chemical bonds. There is another type of compound involving ions but this is beyond the scope of the question.newtest3
anything that is not in the periodic table probably contains more than one kind element. steel, plastic, rubber are all examples

You are probably referring to "organic" compounds. Organic chemistry is simply the study of carbon-containing compounds, but especially the study of carbon-hydrogen compounds, of which there are probably infinite possibilities when these two atoms are combined with other elements/radicals. This is partly because the carbon atom has a valence of 4, giving it many possibilities for bonding, and also because carbon can combine to itself to form very long chains called polymers. In any case, an organic compound is any compound that contains carbon.
Einsteinium is an artificial element; it is prepared as a compound, probably as an oxide or as a compound with halogens.
Definitely ORGANIC. Organic chemistry is the study of organic compounds, that is the compounds containing Carbon. C3H8 contains three carbon atoms in the compound. From the formula it is probably propane (CH3-CH2-CH3) and organic hydrocarbon.
Yes c6h12o6 is an organic compound. Most compounds have have carbon but not all things that have carbon are organic. c6h12o6 means there are six parts carbon, twelve parts hydrogen, and six parts oxygen.
No, sulphur is an element. Sulfur can form an unusually broad variety of molecules consisting of nothing but sulfur atoms, but all of them are covalent. You generally only get ionic compounds if your reactants are a metal and a non-metal. If not, then it's probably covalent. For example, zinc sulphide (ZnS) is an ionic compound, because you're combining a metal (zinc) with a nonmetal (sulphur). On the other hand, sulphur dioxide (SO2) is a covalent compound, since both reactants are nonmetals.
An ionic compound is when the an atom gives away or receives electrons to become stable. A covalent compound is when the atoms share electrons to become stable. It is a Ionic bond because it is between nonmetals and metal
It has been found that milk contains chlorophyllic compounds in very low concentrations. Not exactly chlorophyll a or b, but probably breakdown products from these. Milk also contains porphyrins such as protoporphyrin and hematoporphyrins. All these compounds contribute to the photooxidation in milk since they are very light sensitive.
Among well-characterized compounds, lithium carbide probably contains the highest percentage of carbon by mass. However, it might well be possible to make a compound with more carbon by inducing one substitution on graphene or one of the other multi-atomic forms of carbon.
