If the short side is 6 then the opposite side must be the same, therefore 12 centimeters of the perimeter is the short sides leaving 14 centimeters for the long sides which would make them 7 centimeters each.

If one side of a parallelogram has a length of 1.4 centimeters while another side has a length of 45.3 centimeters what is the perimeter of the parallelogram?

lol... noob 1.4*2+45.3*2=93.4

Do you add each side of triangle to get the permimeter?

Yes, the perimeter of any figure is the sum of all the sides.

How can you find the area of a parallelogram if you only know the side lengths?

The area of a parallelogram is equal to base times height. You can find the maximum area of a parallelogram by multiplying the length of a short side by the length of a long side. (This would be the area if the parallelogram were a rectangle.)You cannot know the area of a parallelogram if all you know is the length of the sides; you can only know the maximumpossible area. Imagine you slant the parallelogram a lot. The area will decrease, but the side lengths will stay the same.

What can be any side in a parallelogram?

A straight line of finite length can be a side in a parallelogram.

How do you measure perimeter of a parallelogram?

The perimeter of a parallelogram is the distance around the outside of the parallelogram. A parallelogram has four sides with opposite sides being congruent. The formula for finding the perimeter is Side A + Side B + Side A + Side B. This could also be stated as 2*Side A + 2*Side B or 2*(Side A + Side B).

Any side of a parallelogram?

Ibelieve that any side of a parallelogram is the height not 110% sure though

What is the base of the parallelogram?

The base of a parallelogram is parallel to its opposite side.

How many side lengths does a parallelogram have?

A parallelogram is a 4 sided quadrilateral

One side of a parallelogram is twice as long as the adjacent side if the perimeter of the parallelogram is 48 m what is the lenght of the longer side?

Suppose the long side is x metres. Then the short side is x/2 m. The perimeter = 2(x + x/2) = 2*3x/2 = 3x m So 3x = 48 and so x = 16 metres.

What is parallelogram height?

It is the perpendicular distance from the top or bottom of the parallelogram to the opposite side.

If two parallelograms are similar what do you know about the ratios of the two side lengths within one parallelograms and the ratios of the correspondingside lengths in the other parallelogram?

If and when two parallelograms are similar, you know that the ratio of two side lengths within one parallelogram will describe the relationship between the corresponding side lengths in a similar parallelogram. If and when two parallelograms are similar, you know that the ratio of corresponding side lengths in the other parallelogram will give you the scale factor that relates each side length in one parallelogram to the corresponding side length in a similar parallelogram.
