It will increase. Density is mass/volume. Mass remains constant since no matter is entering or escaping. Lowering the temperature decreases the volume. Same mass in a smaller space= increased density.

What would happen to the density of pine if the pressure in the area decreased?

The tree would probably disintegrate.

If a glass block had two or three chips what would happen to the density measurement?

The density of the glass has not changed, but since air is less dense than glass, the density of the block has decreased.

Explain what will happen to the mass volume and density of a liquid as the temperature increases?

If density = mass/volume, and your volume increases while mass remains the same... Then the denominator increases which would decrease the density

If A conductor has a resistance of 0.8 ohms what will happen to its resistance if the temperature is decreased?

The resistance of a conductor is directly proportional to the resistivity of the conductor. since the resistivity of a conductor is decreases with decrease in temperature hence the resistance.

Why does cooling happen?

Because of the second law of thermodynamics , law of entropy. "when energy flows from a high-temperature object to a low-temperature object, the source temperature is decreased while the sink temperature is increased; hence temperature differences tend to diminish over time."

What will happen to gas pressure when the volume is decreased?

When the temperature of a gas is increased at a constant pressure, its volume increases. When the temperature of a gas is devreased at constnt pressure, its volume decreases.

Why does planetary cooling happen?

Because of the second law of thermodynamics , law of entropy. "when energy flows from a high-temperature object to a low-temperature object, the source temperature is decreased while the sink temperature is increased; hence temperature differences tend to diminish over time."

What would happen if Salt Lake City decreased 10 degrees?

In temperature? Probably more people might move there seeking a cooler climate. But since that is not likely to happen anytime soon, probably nothing will come of any kind of temperature change for this city.

What will happen to air if it is heated along a slope element?

Generally, if air is heated, its temperature will increase. And if the pressure remains constant, its density will decrease.
