Manual has no dipstick. Auto is near the firewall.

It is very easy to check the transmission fluid level in a 1995 Dodge Avenger ES. You will need to park the car on level ground and keep it running while checking the fluid level. The dipstick is located where you put the transmission fluid.
You add the trans fluid where the dipstick is at, if it is a manual then you will have to go under the car where the transmission is find the check level plug on the transmission loosen the plug and stick your pinky in it if fluid touches the pinky then your good if not add the fluid there!
It is located on the drivers side midway between the front and back of the engine.
if its a munual trannsmision there probaly isn't one. to check the level just follow waht the owners manual tells you

Add oil to the engine until the dipstick reads full. The light will reset itself unless the sensor is broken.
