Most girls get their period around the same time their mother does. You may also find a small amount of clear to white discharge on your underwear about six months before your period. When you hit puberty you should probably start carrying pads around in your backpack or in your bag for summer camp in case you get it unexpectedly. No worries, when it comes it will come just like everyone else.
