It depends upon whether or not the chemical is toxic, and how you were exposed. For example, if the exposure was dermal, and you think it is toxic, and your entire body is covered, then immediately take off your clothes and take a shower to wash off the chemical. If there is anyone else present, have them call poison control and ask for information about what to do next. Keep the container that the chemical was in, because it may contain information such as the identity of the chemicals present, and the concentrations of each chemical, and/or some indication of the toxicity. If you feel that there is an immediate emergency, then call 911 right away.
