TPM systems use transponder sensors in the rims and antennae in the wheel wells to track tire pressure and identify the location of the low tire. You would have to install antenna(e) on your trailer wheel wells along with the tire sensors, and wire them back to the control unit in your Expedition. This would be beyond the existing capacity of both the trailer wiring harness and the vehicle's onboard controller. Both obstacles can be overcome. As with any probem it's only a matter of time and money. However it will probably take too much of both to be feasible. Your best bet is to check your tire wear and pressure regularly. That means at the beginning and end of the season as well as each time you get on the road. Keep an eye on your tires in the rear view mirror. Know what they look like a full inflation and and under load. Get comfortable the feel of your trailer behind the truck, and if you feel something hinky, pull off and check. And always err on the side of caution.
It should not.
A tire pressure sensor is located within the tire. The sensor then provides information to the Tire Pressure Monitoring System and informs the driver when the pressure falls below a certain level.
What sensors??? Tire pressure sensors? You can reset the tire pressure sensors through the instrument cluster
There are many types of sensors in cars. Some include parking sensors, blind spot monitors, water sensors, and tire pressure sensors, temp sensors, oil pressure sensors, Oxygen sensors, .
Pressure.
Tires do not have oxygen sensors. They can have pressure sensors. The lack of pressure sensors would have no affect on fuel economy.
absolute pressure; gauge pressure; atmospheric pressure...
There are many, many sensors in this and all of todays cars. Sensors for engine control and monitoring, ABS, Airbag, traction control, suspension, A/C, etc.
A barometer.
Your car is equipped with a system to alert you to low pressure in any of the 4 tires. There is a tire pressure monitoring device installed inside each tire. This warning either means there is something wrong with the system or something is wrong with one of the sensors.
melvsta here, how longs the page, loads, speed sensors, air pressure sensors, o2 sensor, parking sensors, wheel sensors, etc
All of what sensors? There are dozens of different sensors in cars: O2 sensors, oil pressure/temperature, coolant temperature, fuel pressure, and so forth. All are different, and each car typically uses sensors that are different from sensors in other cars.
