I would say, unless your really self concious, or it's really dark hair, to leave it be.
But, some of my friends have tried shaving it, but this can make your belly itchy as it grows back. And one friend had some wierd stubble for a while :) I don't really know about waxing it.
maybe something like Nair would work, but if you really think it's a problem, I would ask a hair removal specialist.
If you have the funds, laser hair removal might be an option.
