If it has been mended it should work but there may be an airlock in it that needs attention if it is not working.
if its a car, your head gasket may be blown. watch out for boiling coolant
Heater core and head gasket... Well first, they have nothing to do with each other. Maybe you already know that. Heater core - The heater core is like a miniature radiator that sits under your dash. Hot coolant from your engine is pumped through it, a fan blows air across it and this is how you get heat for your interior. Head gasket - It's simply a gasket underneath the cylinder head on your engine. It helps keep everything from leaking out (exhaust gasses, coolant...) in between the cylinder head and the rest of the engine. These are very basic explanations. Hope they help.
SOUNDS LIKE THE INTAKE GASKET BLEW, OR THE HEATER CORE FAILED.. EITHER WAY, THIS IS A COSTLY REPAIR.
could be head gasket problem. does your heater work? might need heater core , clogged up. do compression test. or bypass heater core and see if that works.
hi i had the same problem and after taking it to the garage they told me my head gasket was on its way out, hope this helps
There are two kinds on their website. One that can be used while coolant is still in the vehicle (Head Gasket Fix), and one that requires all coolant to be drained before it is used (Head Gasket Repair). One may work better than the other.AnswerMay plug heater core I just used Bar's leaks block seal permanent head gasket fix 1 step (silver bottle 24 oz) $29.99 at O'reilley's , It worked excellent for 6 days on 1997 v-6 3.1 liter engine (it did not plug any heater lines)
MAYBEBut it is always a short term repair and it will cause other issues like plugged radiators and heater cores eventually.
Yes, that is possible. A blown head gasket will destroy the engine.
It may work as an emergency temporary repair but the only permanent repair is to replace the head gasket.
In your dreams bubela! Buy a new gasket.
No.
Not likely.... I'd never use anything "temporary" on a head gasket.
