first of all, u can never return anything that's on sale.
second of all, u can never return ANYTHING that's broken.
Edit:
The answer above is completely untrue. Weather an item is bought in a sale or at full price you have the same rights. According to the sale of goods act any item bought must be fit for purpose. if you wear an item a few times and it breaks how can it possibly be fit for purpose? and therefore you can get a full refund as long as it is within a reasonable amount of time, usually 3 - 4 weeks.
It really annoys me in shops when they tell me i can't return an item because its on sale!
Most of the time you can use a coupon on a clothing item that is on sale. You may not be able to use it on a clearance item though.
It was really unwise to buy a dress on sale without trying it on because I can't return a sale item.
How expensive clothing is is a relative thought. What is a lot of money to me might not be a lot of money to you. Right now, Isabella Oliver is having a sale on all summer clothing online. Before the sale, clothing is over $100 an item.

No, because the item is not on sale yet. However, some merchants choose to do this for good public relations. If you've already purchased the item at full price, you can return it and then repurchase it at the sale price.

A clearence is when the clothing for example is out of season and needs to be sold and a sale is when the store owner takes a specific percentage off of that price to sell more of the item.
It depends. Some shops will only let you return in a certain time period and if the thing you are returning is in the same condition as when you bought it. If the thing broke and it wasn't your fault you can return it with a receipt and get a replacement. Most of the time you can return with a receipt. Sometimes a store will state that the sale is final, meaning you cannot return with or without a receipt. Many stores will state that items on sale or clearance items are non-returnable. Yes they can if they item has been worn or used and the tags arnt on the item..and I guess it depends afer how long you are bringing the item bak
Yes they can. The exception is that you must have a sales receipt to prove that you paid more. Otherwise, they have the right to refund only the sale price.
A single item grown for sale is a crop. Corn, alfalfa, wheat, beans, and tobacco are examples of a single item grown for sale.
You don't have to have an item on sale for any length of time before it can be sold at a sale price. It can go immediately on sale.
Yes, you can return an item to a Victoria's Secret in another location. However, if the item was on sale or bought under promotion, there may be special circumstances regarding it and you will need to check your receipt for further details. There's also usually a limited amount of days you can return your item for full credit.
