since the equation to get circumference is diamiter X pi, and the diamiter is 2x the radius, yes it would double the C of the circle

ie

before

radius is 2, so diamiter is 4

4 X Pi 12.57...

radius is 4 so the diamiter is 8

8 X pi = 25.13...

that would double it.

Will the circumference increase by 200 percent if you double the radius?

If you double the radius of a circle, you also double its circumference.It's now 200% of what it was originally ... an increase of 100% .See rigorous proof below.===========================================Let radius = rCircumference = 2πrDouble the radius:New radius = 2rNew circumference = 4πrIncrease in circumference = 4πr - 2πr = 2πr = (2πr/2πr) X 100%=100%

If you triple the radius of a circle how is its circumference affected?

The circumference of a circle = 2*pi*r. if you triple r, the circumference is tripled also.

Formula of circumference?

Formula of Circumference of a circle: 3.14*Diameter of the circle. You could also do: 3.14*3.14*radius.

How can you find the circumference of a circle with radius or diameter?

The circumference of a circle is equal to its diameter times pi. This is also equal to two times its radius times pi.

It will also be halved as circumference = 2Ï€r

When the radius of a circle is doubled what happens to the circumference?

since C=2Pixr, if we double r, we need to double C also. 2C=2Pix 2r

What is the circumference of a circle when the radius doubles or trebles?

The circumference also doubles or trebles. The circumference is directly proportional to the radius, with the constant of proportionality = 2*pi.

What happens to the circumference of a circle when the radius is increased by 50 percent?

The circumference is directly proportional to the radius. So increasing the radius by 50% causes the circumference to also increase by 50%.
