Flags contribute to your Organization points.
Yes. Anyone can add, edit or delete flags.
You cannot flag an unanswered question on WikiAnswers. The "Flag" button is missing if the question does not have an answer.
Supervisors have the power to 'trash' questions and every signed in user has the ability to edit and improve questions and answers. So if you think a question can be worded better, edit it! If you think an answer should be deleted because it is nonsense, spam, or vandalism, remove it! Flagging is a tool that allows anyone to alert Community Assistants and Supervisors to questions that need reverting and trashing.
Because it is a Wiki, WikiAnswers is open to everyone to freely edit. The power of community helps WikiAnswers constantly improve answers to questions. However, the downside to wikis is that they are susceptible to spam and vandalism. If you see a user change an answer inappropriately, use profanity or vulgarity, please "flag" the question for revision by clicking flag on the blue sidebar to the left. thanks!
Well, I'm sure there's been a lot of American flags on walls. You might want to edit your question. If you want the...biggest American flag ever and the flag that was written about in the "Star Spangled Banner", then it is currently on display in the Smithsonian and is amazing to see.
The Citizens Flag Alliance is an organization that is against flag burning. They are probably the most notable for that side. Veterans against the flag burning amendment, or something to that degree is an organization that supports flag burning.
If you see a flagged question and you think this flagged question should be removed for a valid reason, look just above the question and the flag will be there on the bottom left corner there is a "X" sign click it and the flag will be removed. If you think that the Question needs completely deleting, Tell a Supervisor or CA (Community Assistant)
Contributors on WikiAnswers cannot delete answers to questions. You may edit a question to improve it but cannot remove an existing answer completely. If you believe an answer has nothing to do with the question being asked then go click the flag/report button in the top right corner of the question and mark it for review.
To clear the marked for improvement banner, that appears above answers that have been voted as not answering the question, you will need to make a change to the answer (not a minor edit) and then the flag will automatically clear and the votes will reset. The flag can take a while to go away, sometimes up to 2 days.
A flag with three different colors could represent a country, organization, or community. It is a visual symbol that typically combines different colors to convey meaning or significance.
The Community Guidelines encourage contributors to use full sentences when answering a question, instead of just posting an answer such as "No." However, we cannot force people to add more detail to their answers; if you find an answer that lacks sufficient detail, please flag the answer for improvement. Another contributor can then edit the answer to add in more detail in relation to the question being asked.
If you ever receive a rude answer, please use the flag tool to flag the question. You can also contact a site supervisor or community assistant. They will review the answer, and see if any actions need to be taken against the person who answered in that way.
