U will very likely get an A or A*
If your textiles coursework is weighted as 60% of your final grade and the exam is weighted as 40%, an A in both would average out to an overall grade of A.
BTEC Music is all coursework. GCSE Music is coursework and an listening exam. But BTEC you can get like say 4 GCSE grade C's in it but as for GCSE you only get 1.
good
Humanities ~ 'A' in CWK, start with a 'C' in Exam. Technology ~ 'A' in CWK, start with a 'C' in Exam. History ~ 'A' in CWK, start with an 'E' in exam PE GCSE ~ 'A' in CWK, start with a 'F' in exam
After completing Textiles GCSE last year, and recieveing a B grade, textiles GCSE can vary depending on the exam board, but here is what it is all based around. Throughout the year you complete an a3 folder, on developing and desinging a proudct, which may be your choice, or your teachers. After carrying out developments and designs, you make your product, which i think is around 20% of your grade. The written folder is worth around 40%. Then there is a written exam, which would consist of questions such as creating products being environmentally friendly, questions on washing labels etcetc.
An ict ocr is worth 4 gcsez. if you find doing coursework much easier than sitting a gcse exam, then ocr would be your most reasonable option. but you have to be able to manage your time efficiently as the workload can be heavy - especially when your doing a variety of subjects that include coursework e.g. english
They only effect they have on real GCSE's are that they are the basis on which your GCSE results are predicted.
Yeah, in a btec you do coursework over the year as opposed to sitting in exams, so for people who may struggle in exam conditions BTECS may be the better option.
60% is course work and 40% is the exam. The exam is based on action adventure films. There are 3 pieces of coursework; the first being comics, the second is quiz shows and the third is designing your own website, hope this helps :)
