Well I would say that you should towel dry it first and then use a hair dryer to finish drying it. I have guinea pigs and every 2-3 months you should wash them with special shampoo from pet shops. I use a towel to dry them mostly then use a hair dryer to make sure that they a mainly dry before going back into their cage.

What I do is I use a blow dryer and blow dry my animal. But if you do this, do not get your animal to close to the blow dryer. Or you can let your pet outside on a warm day. Or if its not too bad, you can rub him in a towel.
