Well you buy a computer its internal memory is count as its one and only hard drive. So in order for you to have more than one you will have to purchase an external hard drive. External hard drives depending on available space can run up to a hundred dollars or more. However there worth it because they will last a very long time and they have about 250 GB of memory. That is an amazing amout of storage space. So you would be able to decide which one to use because the external hard drive would be connect using your USB port. There are some drawbacks with external drives. There heavy a little bulky and most are not protected so if you lose it than anyone will be able to see your data. The benefis of having two hard drives is you some times can quadruple your storage space. This is especially true if you use a laptop or netbook
Don't know what that guy was talking about. Weird. In Windows, the drive that the operating system is loaded on is the swap drive (unless you've changed it). As you move around the web it will store the temporary files on this drive. That will also be the default location for your file saves, etc. Just go to the other drive when you want to save items to the other drive.
the CMOS setup allows to configure them
Mount the drives in the carrier connect the 40-pin cable to the drives set the drive at the end of the cable to master set the drive in the middle of the cable to slave install the drives in the computer and configure the drives
you will have to ask for the contents of your computer if they dont have it you will have to re load everything or serch the hard drives for it
USB
The USB interface standard connects external hardware to your computer- everything from webcams to external hard drives to your Ipod. Without it you would be unable to access many functions of cameras and other devices that allow you to upload things to the internet.
Internet explorer can only browse the internet ( like the name says), explorer only files on your computer or the network or extern drives.
Create one primary partition and an extended partition with four logical drives within it.
yes
My computer has all of your drives in your computer in the My Computer files. This can be accessed by going to start, my computer. Then you should see different drives like your hardware drives. Here you can access your program files and any floppy or USB drives you put into your computer.
You can change BIOS settings, pre-configure hard drives for future use (even this will require some kind of OS) and test equipment. But that's basically it.
Install a virus scanner, don't attach any other drives, disconnect from internet!
