Flip the laptop over so that the rubber feet are facing up. Remove the screw in the center of the laptop with the picture of a lock near it. This is the only thing keeping the cdrom drive from sliding out of the laptop. If it doesn't come out easily, you may need to power up the laptop, open up the cdrom tray, power off the laptop (while the cdrom tray is still open) then repeat procedure above - however, you'll now have the cdrom tray to use as a handle to pull out the entire cdrom drive.

Go to Computer Management, choose Disk Management. Right click on the CDROM Drive (D:\) and change it to G:\. Then Right click on the Hard Drive (E:\) and change the drive letter to D:. Two inherent problems exist: 1. Any shortcuts pointing to E: will now point nowhere and will now be broken. 2. Any programs installed on E: or programs that use E: for temporary space (Photoshop cache files, Video Editing, etc.) will no longer exist, since the drive has moved and E: no longer exists. Use with caution. PowerQuest Partition Magic has a tool that maps shortcuts and registry entries back to the drive's new drive letter, but Symantec has purchased PowerQuest and I no longer know if this tool is available.

Assuming both systems have a 10/100 ethernet port, you can connect these two machines using something called a crossover cable. A crossover cable is a special network cable that allows two computers to be networked without the use of a hub or switch. Failing that, and assuming both systems have USB, you could use a USB transfer cable. This is a special cable which allows you to connect two systems via USB for transferring files & such. Either one of these solutions may require a certain amount of software to be installed on both machines, this could be a problem for your machine with the inoperative cdrom drive. In order to get around that problem, you could try downloading the needed software from the internet (assuming the HP has internet connection) or use an external USB cdrom drive.

Google: CDR Mooby 2.8 Download it and extract the dll file into \plugins. 1) Run ePSXe. 2) Alt + C -> C or Config -> Cdrom. 3) Select "Mobby2 CD disk image driver 2.8" and click ok. 4) Run MR2 in such way: File -> Run Cdrom. Browse to your img file for MR2. 5) Go to shrine (in-game). When it ask you to change CD, press esc. 6) File -> Change Disk -> CDROM. 7) Choose the img file you want the shrine to read. 8) Change back to MR2 img when your done. File -> Change Disk -> CDROM. 9) Done. Different monsters everytime. Answer #2: Use the pSX platform. the above happened to me when I was still using ePSXe but when I tried pSX it worked well.
