I have marshmallows in an unopened bag that have been in my cupboards for about a year They're still soft Are they safe to eat?

Look inside the bag, if you see any kind of bacteria growing on it throw the bag away if not open the bag make sure they aren't hard inside or out. If they don't have any of those problems they are safe to eat.
