The term "blown engine" usaully means the the engine is dead in which case you would not have any power. In the racing world the term "blown engine" could mean something else. A blown engine would be an engine that is super charged with a blower in which case you would have more power.
Bulb is blown or has been removed.
Blown fuse, or defective headlight bulb.
YOU HAVE A BLOWN TAILLIGHT FUSE OR PANEL LIGHT FUSE. THEY ARE NORMALY ON THE SAME CIRCUIT. Yoou could also have a bad headlight switch.
It would be more cost effective to replace the blown engine with a re-manufactured one.
simply having a blown fuse would not cause the engine to run hot. But, it depends on what fuse is blown. a fuse blown for the cooling fans would make it run hot.

Yes, a blown brake light fuse causes the shift interlock to malfunction. If the interlock can't tell if the brake is depressed or not, it won't shift out of park. The brake light fuse is a 15A in the engine bay fuse box.
