As a general rule, You are not considered legally able to enter into a contract until you are 18. Therefore, the contract and charges you made with the credit company may be null and void. MAYBE? How the card was obtained is questionable. Since the person obviously knew the law, it could be construed that the card was used fraudulently. Without means or intent of repayment. The card should never have been used, and should have been returned (or destroyed) and the company notified. It would be advisable to get legal counsel in this situation. Being a minor does not automatically release a person from ALL responsibility.
