If you held your breath, the concentration of oxygen in your lungs would decrease. The concentration of carbon dioxide would increase in your lungs.
We get rid of waste when we breath out and when we breath in we take oxygen in to our lungs and breath.
In the alveoli which is in the lungs
your lungs have structures called alveoli. The alveoli are surrounded by capillary beds which carry blood. The oxygen enters the alveoli when you inhale. The oxygen then diffuses from high concentration in your alveoli to low concentration the blood in the capillaries surrounding the alveoli.
moves out oxygen and removing in carbon dixode oxygen is necessary for life.without it no one can imagine of life. we get oxygen from atmosphere into the lungs from where it reaches to the every cell of the body. oxygeneted blood is purify blood, whereas deoxygeneted blood is impure blood. carbondioxide is necessary for plants etc. when we take breath the oxygen come in from the atmosphere to lungs and carbondioxide go out from the lungs into the atmosphere.
the blood absorb oxygen in the lungs(cappilaries)
DECREASE :O
When you inhale, you breath in oxygen and your lungs get bigger.
You breath.
If you held your breath, the carbon dioxide levels in your body would rise making it harder and harder for you to maintain holding your breath.
All of the air in the lungs gets exchanged with oxygen upon each breath. We exhale carbon dioxide and inhale oxygen.
with lungs you breath air and with gills you breath in water
Lungs are organs of purifying oxygen in the body, they breath in i.e. inspiration, the fresh air carrying oxygen, and breath out i.e expiration the CO2
The blood gets oxygen from the air around us which is made of oxygen. When we breath in, the oxygen is taken into our lungs and then into our blood.
Well, first you lungs breath in and breath out air. (Inhale is to breath in Oxygen)(Exhale is to breath out carbon dioxide or wastes) Your lungs have aveioli. These are inside of the lungs. They help collect nutrients from your food. Then all the wastes are exhaled from the lungs. But, where does this all start out from? When you breath in. And out. It happens in a matter of seconds. Your body works so well. Just think about it. Your body can move that fast. Everytime you breath in and breath out. Well, the air or oxygen moves to the lungs, then aveioli collects the nutrients, this is then moved into your blood. Fascinating, huh? Your blood then uses that nutrients to help the rest of your body!
lungs they do have lungs they come up to breath
the oxygen in your blood comes from the air you breath in . It goes in through your mouth into the lungs and the oxygen gets taken out from the lungs into the cappilaries.
It diffuses because the concentration of oxygen in the capillaries is lower than the concentration of oxygen in the air (law of diffusion).
