Most girls have a cycle of 28 days. Some are more and some are less. To determine this get a pocket calendar and when the first day of your period starts put a little mark on that date and keep doing it until your next period. The first day of your period is day #1 and so on. This will tell you how many days are between your periods as well as give you your fertile time. The days of 14-18 on a 28 day cycle are the most fertile. Since you are just starting your period it may take awhile before your cycle settles down, but still do the calendar so you will see a pattern.

You will probably be getting your period soon, if this is not it. When I first started mine, it was so light that I thought it was just spotting. It later got heavier. If this isn't it, you will be getting it very soon. Go ahead and stock up on pads, or tampons if you prefer. You should tell your Mom about it and ask her how hers was when she first started. Chances are, you will be like her and this will help you learn what to expect.
It could be your period...... or ending your period
