If you have a valid passport and are only "visiting", the answer would be no. However, if you planned a lengthy stay or wanted to apply for a work visa, yes they could deny the visa and revoke your passport. Due to new security procedures, many actions that some feel are illegal, (yet to be proven) are being intitiated.
