Where is a place for souls not worthy of heaven but not meant for hell?

For Catholics the place is called purgatory. Souls wait there, atone for their wicked ways before entering heaven. Protestants believe in a similar place but it is refered to as Abraham's Bosom. This Bosom is directly opposite of Sheol or Hades as it is sometimes called, divided by a great chasm that cannot be crossed from either way. The Gospels tell of Jesus' desent into hell and retrieving waiting souls from the Bosom before sending them to heaven. Whoever now is in Abraham's Bosom waiting came after Christ's death.

The answer to this question is more of an opinion than a known fact. Some believe in pre-tribulation, others in mid-tribulation, and so forth. I personally think that God would not include His chosen children in His wrath for the unjust, but at the same time we are all sinner and deserve punishment. Once again though, we have been washed clean by Christ's blood and so God does not see our sins...like i said previously, we all will have to wait until it happens because the Bible does not clearly state that answer.
