It doesn't mean anything, except the irregularity of menstrual cycle in women. But, if it concerns you because of problems you might have faced in the past or any such thing, then you should consult your doctor.

∙ 14y agoYour period could be early for no reason - it depends how established your cycle is as to how much you should worry.
Early periods can be caused by stress and fatigue or by a lack of balance in hormones.
If it's none of these, or you're still concerned, consult a physician.

∙ 10y agoIt simply means your period is longer than average - the average length of menstruation is around 5-6 days but everyone is different so this can vary, it's also normal for your periods to change slightly from time to time. No reason to think this means anything.
