After completing Basic Training you would be an A1C, paygrade E-3. However, if you have a 4 year degree, why not choose to join as an officer as opposed to enlisted?
In the Air Force, the rank will depend on a combination of factors including education, experience, and time in service. Typically, an individual with an associate's degree may enter the Air Force as an enlisted member with the rank of Airman First Class (E-3) or Senior Airman (E-4). However, it's important to note that promotions and rank advancement are ultimately determined by performance and eligibility requirements.
You get an officer rank. But the rest depends soley on you.
If you went through ROTC, you'll be a Second Lieutenant. If you enlisted into the military, it'll generally depend on your branch of service. I know in the Army with a four-year degree, you can enlist as a Specialist (E4). However, everyone else who enlists at the same time as you will have caught up with you in rank by the time you're eligible for Sergeant (E5).
E-3 (Airman First Class).
With one or two years of JROTC, you go in as Private (E2) if you enlist. With three or four years of JROTC, or having earned the status of Eagle Scout, or with an Associate's Degree, you go in as Private First Class (E3) if you enlist. It doesn't matter what rank you receive as a JROTC cadet.
It makes no difference. If you have been in JROTC for 2 years (i think), then you get a rank advance no matter what branch you enlist in. If you enlist in the Army, you will leave basic training as a PFC. I am also in AFJROTC but i am either joining the army or navy.
In most cases you will keep your rank. You will certainly keep your years in service, which is another factor in pay. You might not keep rank if you change specialties.
