Here's the real truth about alcohol and tongue piercings (this includes beer), sure go out an have a few with friends, but keep your wits about you. As the bar maid to bring you some Ice and water, you should keep ice on the piercing as much as possible during the night. Keep your consumption to a reasonable limit, don't get silly arsed drunk. And more over try not to strain or over extend your tongue, the big problem is your friends will ask to see your tongue piercing.
