sounds like an ignition coil
it could be the control module
fuel pump or the ignition module needs to be replaced
1984 ford bronco
There is the FULL SIZE BRONCO and then the Bronco II ( the Bronco II is smaller , eventually replaced by the Ford Explorer)
possible bad ignition mod or pick ups both connect to distr check fourms on tfi mod bronco 2
ignition coil
My 1994 Bronco will do this due to a bad positive connection on the starter (corrosion and dirt) when i clean it and spray some PB Blaster it gets a better connection and starts fine.
check the fan or the water pump belt it may be broken if not the thermostat may be stuck you may need to replace it
The Bronco II was made till 1990. The it was replaced by the Explorer in 1991.
you unscrew it from the steering colum but the real question is WHERE DO YOU BUY AN "UPPER IGNITION ACTUATOR"?
is there any corrosion on the spades of the coil?or on the connectors?you say DIS,i think distributorless ignition system that an 89 doesnt have,is that correct?or are you meaning distributor cap?
On steering column behind lower cover.
