Yes. The science itself may not be useful, but the critical thinking skills, the ability to develop a logical plan and follow it through, and the simple facts you would discover are often useful in later life.
Even then, you are talking about a dream job here; assuming you get it, there are very few jobs which do not require science education to some point.
