Check your guinea pig's enclosure, especially her food area and food and water containers, to be sure it is all thoroughly clean. Move her (always wash and dry your hands thoroughly before and after handling your pet) and give her cage a good clean out, being sure not to use detergents or other chemicals.
Just use hot water and, if possible, leave the cage in the sun for as long as you can to thoroughly dry it and kill off any remaining bugs.
When you return her to her cage, have fresh clean water for her, but only a little dry food.
Think whether you've fed her anything unusual lately, or put anything different in her cage.
Ask friends and family whether they've fed her anything lately. Ideally, only one person should be responsible for feeding captive animals; others should do so only under the main carer's supervision.
Reassure your pet and keep her as calm as possible; stress can cause stomach problems. You know yourself how much handling she enjoys and when it is time to leave her to herself; when she indicates you should let her alone, always do so.
Make sure she has a sheltered, private area into which she can retreat if she needs darkness or just to be alone, to rest.
If everything seems okay and you've done all you can to ensure she's calm and happy, but her stomach problems still persist, you'll need to take her to the veterinarian or animal clinic. Don't put it off; it could be a tiny problem, easily fixed, but if not treated it could turn into something bad.
Always remember that when you take responsibility for a captive animal you must do everything possible to ensure the health and happiness of the creature.
