No. Sometimes your period is irregular because it is trying to form a pattern. If it continues to be irregular for about 5 or 6 months(and you are not pregnant) then you should see a doctor.
I would like to add here that I went on the birth control pills to regulate my period. I also had very bad PMS and the pill saved my life. Many women take the pill to help them regulate their period and cycle as well as combat PMS. Call your doctor and talk to him/her about doing this.
If you've just started your period, especially if you are sexually active (God you are so young), you need to get established with a doctor for regular female check ups, and maybe some birthcontrol. I would not say that it is abnormal, but you should start taking care of yourself.
regular
You could get pregnant, you need to take your birth control regularly.
It depends on the oral contraceptive taken, and the person taking it to how many days into your break your period starts. With regular pill taking and time your period should be easier to predict accurately once your body gets into a regular 'rhythm'. It can start any number of days after taking the last pill in your packet, but usually starts during the 7 day break rather than after.
Everybody reacts to this type of situation differently. Do not be alarmed because it may take you several months to get back to a regular period after taking any kind of birth control.
Small possibility. Key signs are if you are having lower back pain, or headaches. Sometimes you may not have a complete period it happens, and usually a discharge happens before and after a period. I would suggest taking a test to be on the safe side if you are not on birthcontrol.
Can taking kelp delay your period? if so should I stop taking it? I feel fine otherwise.
yes!! don't SKIP!! if you stop taking it your period should regulate soon. yes!! don't SKIP!! if you stop taking it your period should regulate soon.
If your periods have been irregular in the past it is possible to have breakthrough bleeding after missing a pill. If your periods have always been regular or this period seems markedly different than your regular periods you should call your gynecologist. Continue taking your pills to prevent pregnancy and make a note of the occurrence to discuss at your next exam even if the bleeding stops after resuming your regular schedule or seems like a normal period.
depends on the birth control. if you're taking the regular pills, you'll still get your period, but, unlike mine, it wont be at wacky times.
If you want to avoid pregnancy, you should keep taking the pill.
Most women will have their period within a week or two of stopping birth control pills, and may be fertile from the first day they stop taking it. If you have stopped taking birth control and have not had your regular period as expected, you need a pregnancy test to be sure whether you are pregnant or not.
