i lost my baby rabbit last week too, and i have been crying for a long time, but it will take a few days or a week maybe to not get over it, but stop crying and feeling sad all the time. you should do other things, to occupy your mind so your not thinking about him/her :D renember (if you have more than one) the other rabbit is probably missing its companion aswell, and will be grumpy a lot so give him lots of attention and cuddles

Can a rabbit eat out of a bowl?

Yes, rabbits can eat out of bowls -- bowls are recommended, to keep the food clean (food on the floor can get dusty, hairy -- it's just not sanitary). A rabbit's bowl should be washed every day (not just rinsed). Keep in mind that a small rabbit might not be able to reach over the rim of a large bowl. Also note that some rabbits like to throw their dishes around (when they're frustrated, or as a game); if your rabbit is a thrower, make sure the bowls you use are very heavy (unmovable by the rabbit) or unbreakable (made of metal or plastic).

What to do with a over fed rabbit?

Don't starve it! Just wait one day without food and the next day give it a tiny amount of food. Maybe your rabbit isn't overfed, bring it to your vet to give it a check up and weigh it. Dwarfs should be 5-6 pounds, Mediums should be 7-8 pounds, and giants should be 10-20 pounds (it depends on the size and breed of the giant ). My mediums sized rabbit looks rally fat but the vet showed that it was 8 pounds!

Is it illegal for a guy to kill a rabbit with poison just because the rabbit ate his tomatoes?

There's no way to answer that question because laws vary from region to region. To determine the laws that apply to you, contact your government. Killing the rabbit over tomatoes is not justified. Take the rabbit to someone who can take care of him, or use a live trap and take the rabbit away from the tomatoes. Killing the rabbit is morally wrong.

You have just got an 8 week old rabbit How is it best to go about stroking and holding it?

The danger of holding a young creature like a rabbit is the dropping. I recommend that you are to the floor when you attempt to pick up the rabbit. Put your hand on top of the rabbit to press it gently down to hinder it from jumping off. The legs should be under the rabbit. Slide your other hand under the rear of the rabbit so that the hind legs are held close to its body. This is to prevent the rabbit from using its powerful hind legs to jump from your grasp and hit the floor with force. I recommend an adult try this first prior to assisting a younger person. Again, the bones are still small and thin therefore be careful not to try to capture the rabbit with just your hands if it does get away. If it gets away then a light weight towel tossed over the rabbit will help to capture it again.

How old do girl bunnies have to be to have babies?

Well I was told told 6 months but i know that's not true as my female rabbit gave birth unexpectedly at just over 4 months old so she must have got pregnant at just over 3 months old, so i would definitely keep males and females apart from each other before they reach 3 months in future, as its not recommended for them to have babies this young.A little time that they have access to a boy bunny.
