Recommend fixing the roof before you do anything else. If you use the light while it is wet, fire or worse could occur. The wiring should be okay if you make certain that no moisture remains and that the problem will not recur.
Can someone suggest a good book or author of a book on home light repair? I have some light fixtures that go back dozens of years and the wiring needs to be replaced.
Fuse, bulb, wiring, door switch, switch on overhead light.
Staircase lighting puts the light exactly where your feet go. There is no shadow cast on the treads. Overhead lighting will cause shadows when your body gets between the overhead light source and the stair treads. One disadvantage is the extra cost to install this type of system.
check top of bedliner or side skirting to see for leaks . . . possible detieroration could be the cause . . . also check underneath for busted holes or leaks. . . . if nothing else remove completely and inspect further
Short in the wiring, and it is probably the door light switch.
If you installed an aftermarket radio and had to change the wiring you have a wire in the wrong place.
Could be a fuse, could be broken wiring, could be a dead battery.
Yes, the overhead heater controls do light up.
could be bad wiring
Check all of the wiring connections. If the hum persists the rheostat can be replaced with a low rf emitting dimmer.
sounds like your gauge is broken or there is a short in wiring
Could be the socket or wiring is faulty. Year, make and model would help us.
