Parents will always worry about their children who want to go off and do something which they have some concern about. You do not say how old you are or where the camp is going to be held, also who else will be there. Your parents will want to be assured that you will be chaperoned by some responsible person or people. They may wish to meet with your friends parents to get their view. Once your parents are satisfied that all is up to their expectations, that you can be trusted while on the camp I feel sure that they will let you go. If not then another time when they have got over their anxiety.
