Getting an apartment with a criminal history can be difficult, if you can't find one, you may want to check out the government's Section 8 low-income housing program for help.
She can if you were planning on moving in with her.
Yes, an apartment complex can deny you from renting an apartment if you have a drug felony on record in California. They may have policies in place that prohibit renting to individuals with certain criminal convictions, especially drug-related offenses, due to safety and liability concerns.
Some apartment complexes will deny for any felony. The type of felony, and length of time since the felony occurred does not matter.

Hell no there isnt, I have a felony and got probation and served no time but after 3 years of constant searching and applying not one apartment or land lord will rent to me, discrimination at its finest
Generally, if the felony is at least five years old and is non-violent in nature and does not involve drugs -- usage or distribution -- then you can. But each apartment complex has its own rules regarding this. Public housing and the section 8 program have their own rules regarding this, and which are much stricter than those of low income apartment complexes.
Yes they can. You do not even have to be convicted. Most apartments have a clause that states "we may deny your application if you have ever been CHARGED with a felony". My advice is find a apartment locator. They work with many differnet apartment complexes and can usually help you out without you incurring any costs for the location service. This advice reflects Texas state law which is where I live. Bottom line: Seek advice from an apartment locator. -Dan in Dallas Yes they can. You do not even have to be convicted. Action are based ONLY on the final dispostiion of the case. Just because someone was arrested and charged with a felony does mean that they have been convicted. It is only being CONVICTED of a felony that carries any consequences.
A misprision of a felony is the concealment of a felony from the authorities, but without actually giving any degree of active support to its commission (i.e.: the person is not considered an accomplice to the crime). For example: Person 'A' robs a bank and kills a teller. He goes to Person'B's home and asks to hide out and tells Person 'B' that they just robbed bank. Person 'B' does nothing, but continues to hide the bank robber anyway. Person'B' has committed a Misprision of a Felony.
