Okay advice from a girl! NEVER be a girls best friend and then ask her out! NEVER!
Okay when your like 12 you don't know anything but cooties but when your older you like sex dude.I'm improving this. I wouldn't recommend dating until 7th or 8th, but if you wanna, just stay cool small talk, casual talking and hanging out lets the girl feel relaxed. Then when you become really good friends ask for a phone number email or so on.

∙ 13y agoYou just started middle school, so take the time to get to know yourself and enjoy the first year of middle school. but if you want one, try to find a girl who has lots in common with you. if you like someone but dont know if she likes you back, ask someone you can trust to ask her. then if she likes you back, talk to her. hope this helps!

In this grade it is inappropriate to have a boyfriend or girlfriend in this grade. I say wait till you get in middle school. im in fourth and its hard u just have to be veary good looking my friend has a girlfriend in 6th and hes in 4th he just got lucky

Ummmmm... I suppose. I strongly oppose relationships in 5th and 6th grade. You are just too young to really understand boyfriend and girlfriend stuff. I am in 8th grade and I had a "boyfriend" in 6th grade. You do NOTHING AT ALL. Really. Please, just wait until you are at least in 7th grade. You will be doing yourself a favor. I guess there is only a one year difference between you two, but you do not want to ruin a possible friendship if the boyfriend and girlfriend thing does not work out. Please take my advice and wait it out. Don't ruin what might become a wonderful friendship by becoming nothing but boyfriend and girlfriend. It is not worth it at all.

Honestly, there is no ACTUAL way you can convince a girl to like you. All you can do is be yourself and just wait. There is someone out there that likes you for you. If you act as someone that you're not, then that relation will be a fake.
