I have the same pot, serial #1203. We received it as a wedding gift in 1965 so your crock pot is about 50 years old. Ours works like new!
Firearms weren't required to have serial numbers until the passage of the Gun Control Act of 1968.
The serial number
Down low on the control panel.
Not certain of your question. Not all guns HAVE a serial number. They were not required on US rifles and shotguns until the 1968 Gun Control Act.
May not have one. Made from 1958-1970. Serial numbers were not required for riflles and shotguns until the 1968 Gun control Act. Perfectly legal to own one if it never had a serial number, and was made before the Act. VERY illegal to REMOVE a serial number.
If it was a firearm originally manufactured without a serial number (serial numbers weren't required on firearms in the US until the passage of the Gun Control Act of 1968), then no. However, a firearm which originally had a serial number and had it removed - very much illegal.

really old!! or fake or homemade <><><> Serial numbers on rifles and shotguns were not required by law until the 1968 Gun Control Act. I have a few dozen in my collection that have never HAD a serial number- and yes, it is legal.
After the 1968 Federal Gun Control Act, it became mandatory. Before that, many did not have a serial number. Crime was wiped out with the serial number addition. Yeah, right.
Rifles and shotguns were not required to HAVE a serial number until the 1968 Gun Control Act. Many of the J C Higgins branded guns sold by Sears were made before then. And yes, it is perfectly legal in the US to own a gun that never HAD a serial number- but illegal to remove a serial number.

Firearms were not required by law to have serial numbers until Congress passed the gun control act of 1968.Begining in 1969 all firearms were required to have serial numbers.Chances are that your Glenfield model 70 does not have a serial number.
