Im trying to make a YouTube video with music but it wont let me on windows movie maker it keeps saying the duration of a project can not be more than 24 hours and the song is like 3 minutes?

Your problem isn't the length of the song, it's the length of your video itself. Shorten the video before attempting to add music.
