There are lots of image editors in Linux. However, two packages come to mind. The most popular by far is the GIMP: GNU Image Manipulation Program. It is often compared to photoshop. Another package is ImageMagick, which is primarily a set of command line tools used for post processing images. Very useful for web servers.
There is a number of reasons why this program is used:Firstly it's free under the GNU license.Secondly, it's a powerful package which rivals expensive image manipulation packages.
Image masking is a technique used in photo editing to separate or isolate specific areas of an image from the rest, allowing for more precise editing and manipulation. Essentially, it's like placing a “mask” over the parts of a picture you want to protect or hide while exposing the other areas for editing.
Image editing means opening the image with an image editor and changing it in some way. Some common image editing techniques are resizing the image, applying an effect like converting to black and white or sepia, cutting a part of an image, overimposing another image and much more ....image editing is the process of resizing and enhancing the image using various techniques, this image editing service is called clipping paths service around the world and deepetching service in the Australia, these terms are used by photographers and image processing industry.
