The Ancient Egyptians believed in the They called it the afterlife. They believed that it was like another life, the Pharaohs would have their servants, organs, food, valuables, pets, and , they thought that certain gods would assist them to their place in the afterlife.

After a person died their soul would go on a series of challenges to get to the afterlife. The first one was crossing a wide river. After that, the soul would have to pass through seven gates, while chanting ancient spells. They would have to do this while avoiding traps and dangerous creatures.

After enduring all this, one last challenge remained. The person's heart would be weighed on scales against the Feather of Maat. If the heart was lighter than the feather, they would reach the afterlife. If it was not, they would be punished by being sent to the underworld, or the Egyptian version of Hell.

They first took out their organs,and sprayed salt over the person's body to dry.

They then mummified it with linen,and if you were a king or queen you were buried in a pyramid and if not,in the ground.
