That is only half correct. Artemis (younger) is proven to be mind wiped by the epilogue and wakes up in his bedroom and ***spoiler*** claims to be happy, and remembers a "dream" that would make him rich (something about fairies), which actually explains how he found out fairies existed in the first place in book 1.***end of spoiler*** Even so, it is not told who mind wiped Artemis just that he did get mind wiped. As for Mulch, he was not mind wiped by No1. Opal Koboi figured out that Mulch knew something about the human and the fairy escaping with the lemur, and so tried to tempt Mulch into telling. After he proves that he won't tell, Opal uses some kind of spell that lets her see and hear what Mulch has, taking his memories away from him.
