Ender's true friends in "Ender's Game" are Bean, Alai, Petra, and Valentine. Some of his enemies include Bonzo Madrid, Stilson, and the other students who try to sabotage him during his training. Ultimately, Ender's main enemy turns out to be the alien species known as the Formics.

Ender has skills and insights that set him apart from the rest. He grasps all the tactical and strategic options in a way that is beyond any of his friends - and does it intuitively rather than having to be taught it.
