You cast the levitating spell on a table and move it next to the shelf where the book is, stand on the table. The book will fly away, so move the table and do the same thing, keep doing this until you get the book.

But then, in the last book (Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows), Dudley (Harry's cousin) says that he didn't think Harry was a waste of space, and that he was grateful that Harry saved his life (In the previous book, Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince). Harry even said ''See you Big D.''! So I guess he liked them really deep down.

The only type of battle that happened at the Burrow was when the wedding was crashed but we later find out that most guests apparated and no harm was done to anybody since they were just looking for Harry.However, in the movie version of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince there is a battle at the Burrow which resulted in the house being set on fire. This did not happen in the book.
