there are only 2 ways to unlock mewtwo on ssbm. 1) play 2 player for a total of 20 hours 2) play a bizzare amount of matches (i forgot how many but its a LOT!!!!)

Its simple. Just go to the single player mode and go to events. Fight through until you get to Event 29: Triforce Gathering. Kill him with the help of Zelda who sucks! Battle him again afterwards, defeat him and you got him.
