Gatsby leaves Nick's house shortly after he arrives on the day that Nick has invited Daisy over upon Gatsby's request because he is too nervous and wants it to seem like a coincident that Gatsby is there. He leaves when Daisy arrives, but circles around the house and comes back after walking in the rain.
-- that's the only time i can think of that Gatsby is ever at Nick's house
Gatsby delivers goods to Nick's house to show his appreciation for Nick's role in reuniting him with Daisy and to impress Daisy with his wealth and generosity. Gatsby believes that by indirectly displaying his wealth through such acts, he can make himself more appealing to Daisy and win her back.
Because Gatsby feels the need to impress Daisy, and he knows that Nick has invited her, as well as himself, over for tea. Therefore Gatsby sends lots of flowers to Nick's small cottage type thing, and also a man to mow his grass. It's just another way Gatsby is trying to impress Daisy.
Gatsby wants to impress Daisy. If he makes Nick's house look better, it could improve Daisy's feelings about West Egg. The people of East Egg have a sort of distaste for the people of West Egg.
To prepare for the tea and Daisy coming over. Also to make sure everything goes smoothly and to impress Daisy.
