Mrs. Maudie
The name of the book "To Kill a Mockingbird" comes from its symbolism of innocence and justice. It is not actually illegal to kill a mockingbird in the US, but the title serves as a metaphor for harming something innocent and defenseless.
She believes it is a sin to kill a mockingbird because they are signs of innocence: They do not do any damage to the community and they make the world a better place with their cheerful singing all day long. To kill a mockingbird, in that sense, would be taking an innocent life away from something that didn't deserve it. This relates also to Tom Robinson, a man condemmed to a crime that he didn't commit.
It's a sin to kill a mockingbird because, as Miss Maudie explains to Scout, "Mockingbirds don't do one thing but . . . sing their hearts out for us. That's why it's a sin to kill a mockingbird." What Miss Maudie is saying is that mockingbirds are harmless creatures that don't do anything bad or evil. All they do is sing their songs. In the story, the Mockingbird is a symbol that represents innocence. Boo Radley, Jem, Dill, Tom Robinson, and Mr. Raymond are all examples of Mockingbirds because their innocence was injured or destroyed by evil.
In "To Kill a Mockingbird," Eula May is described as an elderly woman who serves as the town telephone operator. Her specific age is not explicitly mentioned in the book.
All mockingbirds do for people is make noises for people to enjoy. They dont nest in houses, ruin crops, or such. I am guessing that the blue jay has some negative effect, no matter how small it may be. Please remember that this is really just a widely known opinion.
there are different themes without the novel, these are-bravery/ courage shown by jem which is one of the main themes-childish innocence seen in scoutObviously, RACISM was the main part this book was made for (dont know how you missed that)and Mrs. Dubose exemplified just as much bravery as Jem -you'd know if you read the bookthe theme of the mockingbird in to kill a mockingbird is that, well, the mockingbird (like it said in the book) doesnt do anything or harm anyone- it just sits and chirps. and so, to kill a mockingbird, means that you are killing something that is very innocent... which can relate to people who judge people who are innocent.... if that makes sense!
They Symbolize the Mockingbird Mocking birds dont do anythin but make music and dont harm humans So tom and boo didnt do anything but they still get hurt and made fun of even though they dont deserve it
Dont judge a book by its cover Some rumors ain't true
Because they are self-ish and dont care for anyone besides them selves.
its illegal To Kill a Mockingbird because they dont mess up your gardens are nest in corn crobs and they just singMocking birds symbolise peace, innocence and tranquility in the novel To Kill a Mockingbird. If Tom Robinson was innocent (and he clearly was) then he should never have been killed. So also, the innocent mockingbirds should never be killed. It is a shame when people think too highly of themselves and do not have any feelings of these innocent birds. They deserve a life just like Tom Robinson did. I personally think that killing an innocent mockingbird should be punished with the death sentence. They are innocent, you will be guilty, without doubt if you kill one of these precious, tranquil, amazing, gorgeous, glorious birds. Long live the mockingbirds!
you dont. BECAUSE THEY DONT EXIST!
i dont think anyone has.
