Thomas Jefferson
T.J Thomas Jefferson hello
He didn't offer him anything, but he did convince him to run for a seat in the Virginia legislature. Politically he was opposed to the constitution and spoke out against it. He called its principles dangerous and thought it would have a negative impact on states rights.
Washington believed the veto was only to be used if Congress passed a bill that was unconstitutional. Alexander Hamilton was able to convince Washington that the law was not contrary to the constitution, so Washington signed it.
The main contribution that the Federalists did to convince the delegates was to create the Federalist Papers, which were documents supporting the approval of the Constitution. Hope this helps. ;)
