First you wait 'til the eagle lands then when it lands run straight for it, only if you're not carrying the pup. I once ran for the eagle with my pup and it took my pup when I hit it. When you have coyotes trying to eat your pup, take the pup it wants to eat and run at it. It will run away from you. I don't know if it works for bears too.
