Mine is a 1-12.
Your serial number indicates that your Winchester model 94 lever action rifle/carbine was made in the year 1974.
i called winchester about my mod. 70 carbine short action 308, serial #1695xxx,and they told me mine was made in 1983. i asked for other info on the rifle, and they said that there were no records available for that year. 1981 thru 1983 was owned by winchester employees i think.
In the condition you describe, your Winchester carbine is valued at 995 dollars(US currency).

The Winchester model 70 is a bolt action sporting rifle. In 1936 Winchester introduced the bolt action rifle to the American Market. The model 70 was largely based on the Model 54.
The Winchester 25-20 caliber was first chambered in the Winchester model 1892 rifle/carbine which was made from 1892.The last chambering that I have found was in the Winchester model 43 bolt action rifle that was produced from 1949-1957.I would surmise that this caliber was available from 1892-1957.
A Winchester model 1894 rifle that was produced in 1958(pre-64 model) will bring between 350-550 dollars, depending on overall condition and a good bore.
