When ever the check engine light comes on, the cars computer has been given a code from the engine. Go to any auto shop with a dyignostic computer. They will hook it up to the cars computer and it will give the code to the dyignostic computer and they will tell you what the code stands for and than you will find out that is wrong with your car.
