The most famous person to have been born in Bethlehem is King David.
According to the bible, Jesus is the son of God. He doesn't have a stepfather. Unless Mary married someone else then that man would be a stepfather, but Jesus has his "dad" Joseph. Its very confusing but no, Jesus does not have a step dad
cos it is where jesus was born
Yes You know who else was born on christmas? MA MAWM!
we were born when Jesus died on the cross and when God made everything else
Jewish tradition was that King David had been born in Bethlehem. The Jews of the first century believed that a king, descended from David, would be born in Bethlehem and would recover Judea's independence. This longed-for king was known as the Messiah (anointed one). Jesus was born in Bethlehem and was descended from David, because he was the Messiah.
Go, Tell It On The Mountain, Over the hills and everywhere; Go, Tell It On The Mountain That Jesus Christ is born. THAT JESUS CHRIST IS BORN!

God entered the the world as a poor boy would. This was to teach the lesson that God does not care about a person's position in this world he is only interested in those that follow his word and it doesn't take money or anything else to do that. The rejection of Jesus at the time of His Incarnation, being lain on the wood of a manger (a feeding trough, not the "barn or shed) vs. the rejection of Jesus at the point of his death, being lain on the wood of the cross. "born of the virgin Mary" ... " ...suffered under Pontius Pilate, crucified, died and was buried. On the third day he rose from the dead..."
There is a story of the first Christmas in both Matthew's Gospel and in Luke's Gospel. The birth of Jesus - Matthew's GospelJoseph was espoused to Mary, but had respected her virginity. When she was found to be pregnant, he thought of putting her away out of the public eye but an angel told Joseph in a dream that the baby was conceived of the Holy Ghost. When Jesus was born, Magi came following a star from the east to see the new Messiah, whom they found in a house in Bethlehem. They fell down and worshipped Jesus and gave him gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh. But King Herod was afraid that Jesus would become king in his place, so Jesus and his family fled immediately to Egypt, while Herod had all the infants killed in order to remove a supposed rival. After Herod died, the family returned, but were warned by God to turn aside and travel on to Nazareth in Galilee. The birth of Jesus - Luke's GospelAn angel came to Mary in the city of Nazareth and told her she would bear a son, Jesus. Later, when Mary was heavily pregnant, she and Joseph travelled from Nazareth to Bethlehem to take part in a census.Because there was nowhere else to stay in Bethlehem, they stayed in a stable, where Jesus was born. After angels appeared to shepherds in the fields, telling them about the birth, the shepherds came to Bethlehem to see Jesus. Shortly afterwards, the family travelled to Jerusalem to go to the Temple, and then they returned peacefully to their home in Nazareth.
We are told in Luke's account that Jesus was born in Bethlehem, in an outhouse of an inn that used for cattle, as he was 'laid in a manger' after he was born. Some time later (possibly two years later) visitors from the east - 'wise men', came to visit him in the house where he was now staying in Bethlehem. We are told in Matthew's Gospel account that, after the wise men came to look for him, he was in danger because Herod the king of that area wanted to put him to death as he thought he may well be a pretender to the throne. So the family escaped from Bethlehem to Egypt where they stayed until they heard that Herod had died and the danger had passed. They then returned to the area, but not to Bethlehem but to the north in the town of Nazareth in Galilee, where Joseph came from, where they settled.
